Living With The Elderly Programme
We offer applicants with nursing training or relevant experience the opportunity to live with an elderly person in the UK to improve their English for a period of 6 months – 1 year prior to working independently the UK.
- How old do I have to be? You must be at least 21 years old.
- Do I need to speak English? You should have a reasonable level of English and be able to communicate.
- What does it cost? You pay your own travel costs to and from the family home. If you wish to attend English classes you must pay your own language school fees and examination fees.
- What experience should I have? Some experience with general household duties and cooking. You will also need some experience with elderly people.

- To have your own bedroom within the home
- To assist the older person in their daily life as is necessary; dressing, bathing, going for walks and other outings
- To prepare suitable meals and to ensure that the older person eats correctly
